
The Kinetic Motor Company Ltd. has been a trendsetter in the Indian two-wheeler industry. In 1972, Kinetic Motors pioneered the concept of personalized transportation in India with the launch of Kinetic Luna. Since then continuous innovation and a pioneering zeal have been the hallmark of Kinetic Motors Ltd.
Kinetic Motor began in 1984 as a Joint Venture with Honda Motor of Japan, to manufacture and market advanced scooters in India. The JV soon revolutionized the scooter market by introducing a gearless scooter with advanced features like TLAD suspension, auto choke and auto fuel cork. In 1998, Kinetic became the first Indian JV partner to buy out the foreign majority shareholder when it bought the controlling stakes from Honda.
Kinetic Motor Company Ltd. is India's only two-wheeler company to offer a full product portfolio that range from mopeds, step-thrus, scooterettes, scooters to motorcycles. It has three state of the art manufacturing facilities at Koregaon Bhima (for motorcycles and step-thrus), Ahmednagar (for scooterettes and mopeds) and Pithampur (for scooters).
