Hero honda karizma

Hero Honda Karizma is a top-end bike from the Hero Honda stable and targets the niche section of customers that prefer performance to economy.

Karizma comes with a 223cc single cylinder, air-cooled, four stroke engine that packs a maximum power of 17bhp at 7000rpm. Apart from breaking the 200cc barrier, the bike breaks fresh grounds in the acceleration front. Karizma conquers the four-second barrier for zero to sixty kph, doing it 3.8 seconds.

On the styling front, Karizma draws inspiration from Honda's cult VFR 800, the legendary and largest selling superbike from the Japanese giant. Striking similarities exist in the alloy die-cast wheels, the tailpiece, the front indicators, the fairing, the silencer unit, seat, panel shapes and instrument binnacle.

The Karizma comes with factory-fitted mag wheels and the long wheelbase at 1355mm provides stability to the bike. The motorcycle has a top speed of 125kph and performs commendably at speeds around 100kph. The Karizma is equipped with a massive 15-litre fuel tank (FT) with a 2-litre reserve.

The Karizma ensures excellent braking with the 276mm disc up front (largest so far) and the 130mm rear drum brakes. The mag wheels give a very un-cluttered look to the rear wheel.

Indian two wheeler market

The Indian two wheeler market has a size of over Rs 100,000 million.

The Indian two wheeler segment contributes the largest volumes amongst all the segments in automobile industry. Though the segment can be broadly categorized into 3 sub-segments viz; scooters, motorcycles and mopeds; some categories introduced in the market are a combination of two or more segments e.g. scooterettes and step thru’s. The market primarily comprises five players in the two wheeler segment with most of the companies having foreign collaborations with well-known Japanese firms earlier. But most of the companies are now planning 100% subsidiaries in India.

In the last four to five years, the two-wheeler market has witnessed a marked shift towards motorcycles at the expense of scooters. In the rural areas, consumers have come to prefer sturdier bikes to withstand the bad road conditions. In the process the share of motorcycle segment has grown from 48% to 58%, the share of scooters declined drastically from 33% to 25%, while that of mopeds declined by 2% from 19% to 17% during the year 2000-01. The Euro emission norms led the existing players in the two stroke segment to install catalytic converters. All the new models are now being replaced by 4-stroke motorcycles. Excise duty on motorcycles has been reduced resulting in price reduction, which has aided in propelling the demand for motorcycles. Fierce competition has also forced players to cut prices in certain models.

karizma bike

A bike is an early invention for transportation purposes, however; a new invention hit the marked which made travel much more faster. This invention is the automobile.
There are many differences and similarities that bikes and cars share. Even though cars are more advanced and comfortable then bikes are, the use of bicycles is very high. Most people however choose a vehicle for transportation. Cars have many accessories that bikes do not have. For example, cars these days have anything from radio, CD players, navigational systems, and even TVs. It is impossible for a bike to have all these comforting features. Another major difference is that the car has a roof and windows to protect you from all kinds of weather. The bike on the other hand is not very protective against any type of weather. The car seats are way more comfortable then a bike’s.
A bike is somewhat similar to the automobile though. Bikes move just like a car does; on wheels. They both have some kind of way of controlling the direction of travel. They both also have lights for night time trips. The bike has a bell which is similar to the horn in a car. They are both used for transportation and other purposes.
As you can see cars and bikes are somewhat alike but yet also different. Me myself would pick a car over a bike any day. I have a car of my own and love it, and will prefer it before a bike nowadays since I am elgible.
